Each Yabbie is proudly taken around the ring for bidders and curious children alike to observe and touch, while the auctioneers take bids ranging into the thousands. Country charm and wit are on display during the Windorah Yabbie Races with hundreds of tourists descending on the small town before making the pilgrimage further south west to Birdsville.
