Paul Briggs, Under the Mountain/The Forbidding Shore (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2024)
The SS Gairloch, a steamer of 375 tons, wrecked on the Taranaki NZ coast in 1903. Whats left now is a section of the bow rusting quietly away, and to get this shot with a 400mm lens, with the mountain backdrop I needed to be a long way out on the reef in waist deep water. Thankfully it was a calm day.
