MARIA LLOYD, TURF WAR (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

A powerful wildlife action study captured across a flooded waterway on my rural property in Central Queensland. The image documents an intense terrritorial dispute - a turf war - as black swans engage in a high speed chase across the glass-like floodwaters. The sudden movement reveals the striking, hidden flash of their white flight feathers against the dark tree line, capturing a raw, energetic moment of native avian behaviour within the regional landscape.
