I spotted this man taking his rest in an alleyway in a Beijing hutong - a traditional residential area, full of tiny houses, shops and hole in the wall places to eat. The hutongs are diminishing in size as the skyscrapers and shopping malls take over Beijing. The volume of people in the city of Beijing is mind-blowing and the vibe is frenetic. But this photo captures what we all need sometimes - solitary rest away from the noise.
