Sue Dowling, The mist between (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

Through a veil of mist, Mount Buffalo emerges, its presence revealed only in fragments. The shifting atmosphere creates a space between seeing and knowing — between what is present and what the mind sees for itself. The mist does not simply obscure the landscape; it alters our relationship with it, inviting us to slow down and attend to what remains partially revealed. In this moment, landscape becomes less about place and more about the experience of encountering what we cannot fully see.
