After days of patrolling through crocodile filled swamps, a local soldiers carries his pack towards a plane for a dawn flight home. Taped and repairer boots tell of the miles walked to protect local fisheries and the Top End’s fragile ecosystem, the words speak of the humour of Soldiers.
