Patrick Nelson, The Heat is On (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2025)

This digital montage accentuates the plight of our planet and the beauty of the moon with a juxtaposition that attempts to resolve balance and energy. It is comprised of two images. The foreground is an image of cracks in a dry desert claypan that has been digitally cropped, inverted, distorted, and warped. The “blue” moon was photographed with the white balance setting on incandescent. Both images were taken with a Sony RX10 IV camera.
