Greg Semu, The Birth of Venus / Mount Druitt (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2026)

C3WEST community arts project with the support of the MCA + Blacktown Arts Centre is a 'blind casting community engagement project shot on location in 1 day we were fortunate to capture 3 generations of Tongan women including the 2025 Miss Tonga and her mother, Grandmother and Aunties as our hero cast. A tribute and homage to Sandro Botticelli's Birth of Venus the work addresses many community issues of domestic + sexual violence and empowers the matriarchy which is central to Tongan culture and society
