Jesse Tilley, Snapdragon (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2026)

This is from my ongoing series Gathered and Gifted, which is a collection of flowers collected from the places around me. Some are found growing in nature, some come from flowers gifted to friends and displayed in their homes, and others are repurposed from suburban front yards. Each flower is photographed as a singular, temporary object, something that will change, decay and never appear in quite the same form again. The photographs are then printed by hand in the darkroom using the lith process, which introduces unpredictable shifts in colour, contrast and texture. Just as no two flowers are exactly alike, no two prints can be made exactly alike.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
