Making for shore after I had been out shooting the birdlife on Lake Dyer, Lockyer Valley, the day's final light transformed the landscape into a canvas of gold and sapphire. Beneath the vast, brooding sky, the still water mirrored every subtle hue, while the kayak sat in quiet simplicity as time seems to stand still.
