Paul Pinga Matereke, Road trip Stop (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2025)
During my trip to Zimbabwe, where I was born, it was a dream to see new parts of the country with a camera. In Harare, at this particular station I was reminded of Stephen Shore's iconic Chevron gas station photograph. There are call and response elements in my image through geometric shapes of the objects and colour tones. There is a sense of tranquillity in this photo which is a far cry from the loudness of the city
