Teague Leigh, Reclamation (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2024)

Ancient Direl (Lake Tyrell) has long been a meeting place for the original custodians of this land. Here the land, waters, and sky meet to bring Dreamtime. Colonialism brought tools to mass produce the salt in the lake, but Mother Nature is reclaiming her land. Machinery, fences, piping, all lay rusting across the quiet expanse. They are being swallowed by the salt and sand. There is no place for these unnatural objects here, only the Dreaming.
