Matthew Coleman, Quails Falls-Second Cascade (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

Deep within Tasmania’s cool temperate rainforest, water spills through a maze of moss-covered rock, ferns and ancient forest. Mist hung between the trees and softened the light, giving the whole scene an almost untouched feeling. After a difficult hike into this beautiful place, I spent time simply taking in the sound of the water and the incredible richness of the forest before making this image.
