Matthew Smith, Ocean Wanderer (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2025)
From above, our small expedition yacht drifts beside a towering Antarctic iceberg, its vast, contoured shape eerily reminiscent of South America. The scale difference is humbling—a reminder of nature’s raw power and the insignificance of even the most robust vessels in these frozen latitudes. Carved by time and ocean, this iceberg likely calved from a distant ice shelf and now sails its own slow voyage through the Southern Ocean.
