Julia Lynne Curley, Observed in Tokyo (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2025)

Under the main Tokyo train station is a maze of restaurants, high end shops and a plethora of kawaii souvenir outlets. August heat is stifling, so we escaped the weather for a few hours and wandered about with the rest of the locals. We chose a cracker of a restaurant for lunch and as we sat and ate, I watched this lady at the counter with her family as she ate her noodles. Everything is better in Japan, true story.
