Guy Sherlock, Not Without Me (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2026)

Finn, my three-year-old nephew, had spent the afternoon running and playing along the river. As the light began to fade, I asked if I could take his portrait beside the fence. He reluctantly followed me while his parents began packing up to leave. This moment was completely unposed. His hands came to his face as he watched them, seemingly worried they might leave without him. I was drawn to the uncertainty in his expression, and to how the open landscape and negative space seemed to emphasise his smallness and vulnerability.
