Laundry day in the coastal village of Portknockie, Scotland, shows the trust that the locals have that things will go well. The clothesline hangs on public land on the cliff tops overlooking the North Sea and, if the wind wins and the laundry escapes the triple-pegged system, the next landfall is Norway.
