Simon Wrigley, Nature's Fine Art 2 (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2025)
Nature gives us a beautiful abstract canvas of shapes, textures and colours that are never replicated by humans. They are unique and often one-off visuals that are sometimes fixed or may shift over time or in an instant. Nature provides this assortment or array of visual stimulation for free, without us having to give anything back. Therefore, we must respect this generosity. But we are allowed to interpret the visual scene any way we like. My photos use nature’s canvas as the foundation. I take that image then make it more visually assertive because nature can sometimes be shy by not showing us its full potential. I like to enhance the visual canvas so it smacks you in the face, provokes you, if you will, until you notice what nature has to offer – an unbridled symphony of colour, texture and shape. Abstract boldness is used to achieve this effect. This aerial image represents this concept of nature’s abstract canvas.
