‘Self-portrait’ The self here is both present and withheld. Hands rise like quiet echoes — shaping, shielding, becoming. The hat, both mask and marker, suggests a chosen identity held at the edge of visibility. Identity emerges not through clarity, but through layers of silence, shadow, and intent. This is a single exposure and a self-portrait, created entirely through in-camera techniques. I challenged myself to craft a surreal image using only my camera skills, a hat, and my hands. This was a personal experiment to prove that creativity doesn’t require complexity , just vision and a willingness to explore.
