Photographed during the preparations for a ceremony celebrating songlines in Mowanjum, a community in the West Kimberley. Given history and knowledge is passed through words, song and dance, the next generation represent the future of a 50,000 year old culture. Responsibility welcomed, the boys are an incredibly good book for elders: past present and emerging. The boys are enjoying a break, playing on burnt out cars. Shot on 35mm through a medium format camera, creating a full frame panoramic aspect ratio.
