Julie Kenny, Long Days (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2024)

Inside this shearing shed the air was thick with the scent of lanolin, aged wood, and the efforts of shearing seasons past. Daylight filters through two high louvered windows, hinting at the outline of the sheep pen bars and creating distinct patches of light on the worn slats of the wooden floor. This image evokes a sense of nostalgia and quiet reverence for the traditions and labour that once filled this now-empty space.
