Eliz Le, Lay Me Down (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2025)

“Lay Me Down” is an elegy to transformation — the quiet surrender that must precede rebirth. To lose oneself is not disappearance but an unraveling, a necessary dissolution of what can no longer hold. In the yielding, there is a strange grace: the past falls away like a husk, and from that shedding emerges a fragile beginning. This work asks what it means to fall into darkness not as an end, but as a passage.. a cocooning.. where surrender is the first step toward transcendence, and the act of laying down becomes the opening gesture of flight.
