Jessica Hromas, Johnston surfs 4,000 waves in 25 days, a new world record (DOCUMENTARY & STREET 2025)

I spent two days documenting the former pro surfer Blakey Johnston who set a new world record surfing the most waves in a month. He did this by riding 4097 waves over 25 days. Each day was physically like running a full marathon and the water was 11 degrees. Before this feat Blakey broke the world record for longest continuous surfing session, surfing for over 40 hours to raise money for mental health services. Every feat Blakey does is to advocate for mental health and is in honour of his father who took his life in 2013.
