MARIA LLOYD, Incandescent Seam (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)
An evocative wildlife study captured over a dam on my rural property in Central Queensland. A brilliant, fiery band of light tears through the landscape, compressed tightly between a heavy front of overhead storm clouds and its own flawless mirror reflection on the still water below. The image explores the intense, transient beauty of a regional sunset, burning like an incandescent seam along the edge of the horizon.
