Robert Anderson, I Wish I Had Wings (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

This Eastern Osprey has every wing and tail feather working to gain lift. When I see the expanse of such wings, here framing the entire image, I wonder how they fold them up so easily into a neat and compact form when they land and perch. In addition, it is always a delight when a bird in flight looks straight into the camera lens, as is the case here. Joy!
