Fernanda Pedroso, I am Ocean (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2026)

Born in Salvador, Brazil, the sea taught me to ebb and flow, to hold life in all its forms. Now in Canberra, far from the ocean, I feel its absence like a missing part of me. I am Ocean — sometimes low tide, fading. Sometimes waves crashing, energy rising. Calm and wild, I carry storms and serenity. Pre-menopause arrived like an unexpected surge, tossing my emotions. But the sea still lives in me. Its rhythm in my spirit.
