Marion Mather, Hill of Crosses (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2025)

Travelling through Lithuania, we stopped at a place sacred to local people. Thousands of people had placed crosses on one hill, reminding them of loved ones both alive and dead, and of the difficult times that had been endured. It was a very emotional and thought provoking encounter. The black and white image better captured the mood.
