Pamela Pauline, Here on Earth (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2025)

In Here on Earth, I bring together Australian threatened birds and flora in a photographic still life that echoes both the beauty and fragility of our natural world. Each element — all photographed from living collections, is portrayed alive and thriving, honouring the vitality of what remains. Iconic species including the Gang Gang Cockatoo, the Pink Cockatoo and the Waratah Aspera— once considered abundant — have been formally listed as threatened in the past three years. Their inclusion in this artwork speaks to the urgency of their plight and the need to celebrate, protect, and reconnect with the living world around us.
