Even in silhouette, David Pocock is a recognisable figure, with the shape of the international rugby player he once was. As an independent senator, Pocock takes strong stands on issues such as environmental conservation, political integrity, anti-gambling, and welfare and tax reform. This image was made as he addressed an anti-gendered violence rally outside Parliament House, Canberra. While we see only his outline, Senator Pocock symbolises the many figures on whom we project our hopes for a better, fairer and more sustainable future.
