Outside a bank, a youth and an elderly sit above the words “NO SITTING,” beneath an advertisement asking, “Got a message from ANZ?” The city speaks through invitations and prohibitions; their quiet presence leaves another question open: in a place full of messages, how much do we notice of one another?
