Tania Pendlebury, Fishcutter Fish Face (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2026)

A fish cutter at Negombo Fish Market in Sri Lanka pauses briefly from his work to engage with the camera. With a sense of humour, he lifts a fish in front of his face, creating a playful and unexpected portrait. The image captures both the personality of the worker and the vibrant spirit of one of Sri Lanka's busiest fishing communities
