Sam Cook, Evening Light on Mount Beerwah (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2025)

Shot just before sunset, this image captures the moment soft golden light hit the face of Mount Beerwah — the tallest of the Glass House Mountains. I framed it with lantana in the foreground to give that sense of depth and wildness, with the mountain rising quietly in the distance. There was a stillness in the air, and everything just lined up — the colour, the contrast, the mood. It’s one of those scenes that reminds you why patience matters in landscape photography.
