On August 12th, 2026, a partial solar eclipse occurred in Berlin where the Moon blocked approximately 85% of the Sun. While a narrow path of Europe experienced a total solar eclipse, Berlin sat just outside the path of totality, resulting in the deepest partial solar eclipse the city has witnessed since 1999. To see another partial solar eclipse over Berlin with 85% or greater solar coverage, you’ll have to wait nearly another 50 years until July 13, 2075 and the next total eclipse directly over Berlin won’t happen until October 7, 2135.
