Tony Sernack, Dune (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

The massive sand dunes at Sossusvlei in the Namib desert change colour and complexion with the play of light. Some are 300 metres high and this entire region of Namibia boasts spectacular landscapes. The deep red colour comes from iron in the sand that has oxidised over millennium. The older the sand the deeper the colour.
