Sheena Suwart, Dissipating (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)

I photographed these Hanbar concrete armour units at twilight. Their purpose is to protect the coastline by dissipating the energy of incoming waves. As the last light of the day gradually faded, I was struck by the parallel between the dissipating light and the engineering designed to dissipate the force of the sea.
