Gergo Rugli, David and Goliath (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2026)
A powerful swell forced lifeguards to close beaches all along the Sydney coastline as monstrous waves slammed into Bronte Beach at sunset. While most people watched from behind the fences, a handful of local teenagers climbed into the ocean pool, standing on the edge and waiting for the towering waves to crash into them and wash them across the pool. Faced with the full force of the swell, they never stepped back, turning a dangerous game into a striking display of youthful fearlessness.
