Nancy Flammea, Broken Tulip (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2024)

Broken Tulip. A virus created the Semper Augustus, with its flame red pattern against a white petal. This tulip was renowned for its beauty and was highly sort after during the early seventeenth century in Amsterdam and became known as the Broken Tulip during the period of Tulip mania.
