Simon Wrigley, Amoeba (LANDSCAPE & ENVIRONMENT 2025)
Flying over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in a small plane provides a unique view of one of Australia's most beautiful natural environments - with or without water. This photo captures one of a set of salty outcrops that appear from the air to be a cross between a fissure and a geyser, but in reality probably neither. To me, the image resembles an amoeba under a microscope. My passion is aerial photography that captures the abstract shapes, textures and colours that landscapes provide in abundance.
