SCOTT KELLEHER, A SMOKE FOR A PHOTO (PEOPLE & PORTRAIT 2024)

This is a street portrait taken on George Street, Sydney last year whilst on one of my many photo walks. My subject asked me for a cigarette and I asked him if I could make his portrait. The gentleman accepted my offer and this is the one and only shot that I took. The capture has something that draws me to it beyond my more controlled portraiture work. I intend on giving a print to Jimmy next time I'm in the neighborhood.
