Natalie Finney, A Feast of False Abundance (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2026)

A contemporary vanitas still life examining excess, consumption and the culture of celebration. Inspired by the abundance and spectacle of traditional Dutch still life, the image replaces luxury with cheap, artificial and mass-produced versions of it: plastic fruit, imitation flowers, sweets, seafood and champagne. The result is a deliberately excessive feast that reflects a culture of constant consumption, where abundance itself has become something to perform.
