Angela McIntyre, Raaz (ADVERTISING & FASHION 2025)

Rising Canberra fashion designer Farishta Arzoo is combining her heritage with her passion for sustainable fashion. Born in Pakistan to Afghan parents, Farishta’s early life was marked by hardship, including the kidnapping of her brother and being denied formal education until she arrived in Australia in 2015. Each piece in her RAAZ clothing label tells a story. She sources most of her fabrics and embroidery from Afghanistan and Pakistan and recycles vintage dresses to give them new life. Each piece carries cultural meaning and craftsmanship that make it special.
