Forough Yavari, In Between Spaces (ART & CONCEPTUAL 2025)
I illustrate my experience as a female migrant artist to another country that is so different in many aspects. "In-between spaces" invites viewers to consider the complexities of identity for those who migrate. It challenges preconceived notions of belonging and self, emphasizing that identity is not a fixed entity but a dynamic, evolving process. Through this piece, the triangular shape, the only element added in post-production, represents the structured environments and societal frameworks that often define and constrain identity. I have never found myself completely fitting into that social framework, just as the figure in the image does not.
